are #1 Seed for IWFL (Independent Womens Football League)Playoffs
By Anonymous June 19, 2004 -- The Banshees (8-0) earned their number 1 seed by posting 6 shutouts and allowing only 25 total points for the entire 8 game season. They scored 384. On the other hand, the Pride (6-2) allowed 81 points while scoring 198. The Pride is going to have to pull out all of their defensive tenacity in order to slow down the offensive minded Banshees.
Should the Banshees win their Divisional Playoff game next Saturday at home, they will play the winner of the matchup between the Tacoma Majestics (8-0) and the IWFL Defending Champion Sacramento Sirens (7-1). The Divisional Semifinal game will be played on July 10 at Burrell Field in San Leandro.
The National Championship game will be played on July 24 in Sacramento at Natomas High School.
