AuctionHelper Extends Relationship

with The National Football League

By Anonymous

Agoura Hills, California, October 25, 2002– AuctionHelper, a software company that creates auction management tools developed to automate the time-consuming components of the online auction process and allows sellers to increase their efficiency and productivity, today announced that its business relationship with the National Football League has been renewed. AuctionHelper software aided in the sale of over 2,500 NFL memorabilia items on eBay during the 2001 football season to raise considerable funds for the NFL and Players Inc. charities. Players Inc. is the licensing and marketing subsidiary of the NFL Players Association.

AuctionHelper has worked closely with the NFL to provide unique, custom solutions designed to help increase exposure and sales for NFL Auction items. AuctionHelper has created custom templates and ‘about me’ pages that present a consistent look and feel for all NFL Auction items. The NFL uses AuctionLynxx, a patent pending tool designed to help seller’s increase sales, to send visitors from the NFL website directly to their eBay listings. In addition, the NFL uses AuctionHelper’s PictureLynxx, a patent-pending product that enables sellers to increase visibility and sales by offering potential bidders an easy method to see other items from the same seller.

“AuctionHelper has helped the NFL to increase the visibility of our auctions,” said Seth Rabinowitz, Senior Director of Strategic Planning and Business Development for the National Football League. “AuctionHelper’s software and custom-tailored solutions have helped us maximize our sales,” said Rabinowitz.

AuctionHelper and NFL Auction estimate that during the 2001 football season roughly one third of total NFL Auction page views were delivered via AuctionLynxx. The NFL generated an impressive average of nearly 400 page views per item.

The items sold by NFL Auction included game-worn jerseys, authentic collectibles such as helmets, and fantasy experiences including several unique promotions surrounding Super Bowl XXXVI.

“We are thrilled to produce such solid results for NFL Auction,” said Jerry Lynch, Founder and Chief Architect of AuctionHelper. “By using AuctionLynxx and PictureLynxx, NFL Auction generated a combined 46% click-through rate on all simultaneous running auctions. By showing more items to potential bidders, NFL Auction increases their sales,” said Lynch.

“We are pleased the NFL and AuctionHelper will return for another season of exciting NFL action,” said Jon Fitch, senior category manager for eBay Sports. “This relationship provides eBay football fans with the opportunity to buy unique memorabilia and once-in-a-lifetime fantasy packages and each purchase contributes to a worthy cause.”
